Default Pre-Sear Bear Charming

I would really like to charm a bear in pre-sear. I remember reading about it but can't find the thread about it. It may have been on another forum. If someone knows how to do this, please tell me, or provide helpful links. Thank you.

Also, someone said something about taming a lizard. Is this pre-sear? If not, where can I do this?

Why do people want bears? >.< Bears suck. Their DPS is nerfed because of that idiotic useless charm-break attack they insist on doing to mobs LONG after they've been charmed BY YOU. Bears are INFERIOR.

The dune lizards aren't pre-sear - you can find them outside the Amnoon Oasis.

If someone is going para primary or secondary the bear has an attack skill that triggers shouts and chants unlike any of the other pets.

Am pretty sure that they changed it so that it wouldn't affect pets and spirits. Think it was when they changed everything to only work on party members not allies, which was a pretty crap choice, IMO.

Aw, crap >.< that stupid attack skill triggering Para shouts/chants actually would have given people a REASON (besides aesthetics) to have a bear. I didn't think of that.

Generally there are people at Foibles Fair who will be happy to help you charm the bear.

It is true that when you get the timing down it is very easy to do.

But your first time you will need several tries to get the timing right - so figure about 20-30 minute the first time you go to charm a bear.

If Neo Nugget can't help you try to catch me in game (Lamont Cranston Jr) and I will be happy to help you get the bear.

Brutal Mauling is affected by chants that target allies' attacks, such as Anthem of Fury. This can somewhat counter the lower DPS caused by the bear's use of Brutal Mauling. - Wiki

I think that more then makes up for the DPS

Giving pets adrenaline will not help you very much really.

Unless you meant Anthem of Envy, which still doesn't work on pet attacks.

Chants no longer work on Brutal Mauling, it was (inadvertently?) changed in the update that stopped chants working with spirit attacks.
